Store Donations
Thank you for supporting our mission! Here’s what we accept as donations to help us create dresses and clothing for girls around the world.
Items we use:
- 100% Cotton Fabric or mostly cotton blend
- No white, character, patriotic, holiday or language prints
- If you can see your hand through the fabric, it’s too thin. We are trying to give the girls dignity, and their skin would show through
- ½ inch Double Fold Bias Tape (all colors)
- ¼ inch Elastic (Peasant Dress)
- ½ inch Elastic (A-line Dress)
- ¾ inch Elastic non-roll (Boy’s Shorts)
- 1 inch Elastic non-roll (Teen skirts)
- 1 inch Velcro
- All types of trim to make our dresses special
- Beanie Babies or small stuffed animals for the girl’s pocket
- Hot Wheels or similar metal car for boy’s pocket
- Girl’s underwear – all sizes 2T to 18
- Boy’s T-shirts (solid – all colors – no writing)
Gently used items:
- Large/XLarge suitcase (we pack & send them with missionaries)
- Men’s Dress Shirts (100% cotton or mostly cotton blend – we harvest the material for dresses), no holiday or cartoon
- Men’s casual pants (100% cotton or cotton blend – we harvest the material for boy’s shorts
- Linens that are thicker and mostly cotton to recreate into dresses or skirts
Other items:
- Self-Healing Cutting Mats (18” x 24”)
- Scissors / Pinking Shears
- Fabric Rulers (6” x 12”).
- Cotton or 80/20 cotton batting. We can use scraps left over from quilts.
