At Dress A Girl KC Metro, we are making “God’s best dress,” and each dress is carefully screened before it is sent. The dress each girl receives may be the ONLY dress they EVER have. We want it to be a high-quality product in which they feel dignified and beautiful.  Quality over Quantity. Some of these dresses will go to some of the poorest-of-the-poor, and the poor deserve nice things with good workmanship, not just leftovers or hand-me-downs. “The Lord hears the cry of the poor,” we want to honor Him by honoring them. We carefully sew 2 pockets onto each dress with a Dress a Girl label identifying that the little girl is being taken care of by an outside organization. We have patterns and instructions on our Facebook page, Dress a Girl KC Metro.  We also provide dress kits that include everything necessary to make a dress. Seamstresses bring in the completed dress and select another kit to sew at home. These countries often wash clothing in rivers using rocks. Our dress material is made of cotton or a cotton blend for durability as there is no way for the recipient to repair them.
